About me

I am currently a Junior Group Leader at CodeLounge (https://codelounge.si.usi.ch ), a R&D group part of theSoftware Institute at Università della Svizzera italiana, headed by Dr.Marco D’Ambros and Prof. Michele Lanza. My main responsibilities includebeing the tech lead for CodeLounge’s team and projects, mostly on the backend side, including as well machine learning, usage of large language models, and natural language processing. I am passionate about functional programming in many flavors, e.g. languages like Scala and reactive technologies like Akka/Pekko. While I am relatively new to speaking in developer conferences, Ihave an extensive speaking experience in academic conferences in the software engineering area. Regarding developer conferences, I've been a speaker at ScalaDays 2023 in Seattle - https://scaladays.org/seattle-2023/teaching-domain-specific-languages-in-scala (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un8piZmIW4w ), speaking about teaching DSLs in Scala.I have done a talk on a similar topic at voxxed days ticino in 2019 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvs3uvUHDPs). A few other available publictalks include an internal seminar on our development practices (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IlUxLD5xQQ) and a Keynote on a small developerunconference in 2015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggqVytQUR8A. I will also be speaking in 2024 at Voxxed Days Zurich.
